Meet the founders
In 2022, several U.S. states announced new data privacy laws to be implemented in the coming year. While large corporations with in-house compliance teams were prepared for the transition, smaller businesses were left to scramble.
Unwilling to stand idly by, a group of concerned citizens and industry experts launched the Data Privacy Institute.
Elcid Choi
Elcid Choi has over 20 years of experience developing database systems and data privacy compliance for some of the largest companies in the world. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and the President and Founder of Innerspin Marketing.
Roy Kim
Founder of Segment Data Management and lead developer on DPI’s data product offerings, Roy Kim has over 30 years of database experience ranging from the Department of Defense to Hughes Aerospace.
